There’s more to being a Rope Puppy or a Puppy Daddy than just rope and cuddles!
Today we played as usual. I was tied several times and in several different ways. We cuddled, and kissed, and there was great deal of warmth – just as always.
And as always, Puppy Daddy, Funiculosus, made me some lunch.
Today’s was lamb kofta on lettuce with sautéed garlic and al dente vegetables.
I love to watch him cook. Usually, he’s done all the slicing and dicing before I arrive, so it is quite a bit like a personal cookery show.
He chatters as he cooks things, grinding pepper with a flourish, and literally throws salt from a dramatic distance. He is an artist at work.
It was colourful and tasty … and quick to cook!
Afterwards, he tied me up again in a comfy chest harness, and then prepared a lasagne for me to take home!
I stood and watched as he pan fried whole garlic, pancetta, and pork mince. Then added passata and water, slowly reducing it while stirring – it smelt divine! Each time he got up from the sofa to stir it, I would follow. Even when “human” my “puppy” side comes through.
Actually, it is liberating because it enabled a better integration of the various aspects of my personality. I don’t mean that literally one of my split personalities is a dog called “Pizza”, but there is that playful, curious, and affectionate side that is very well expressed in that aspect of me.
He then made a béchamel sauce. When I was still a kid, my mum had taught me how to make a roux, which is the basis of a great many white sauces – my cheese sauce is to die for! But watching a professional at work in their own kitchen is quite something. The nutmeg had to be grated from a whole nutmeg – and there was a flourish in his actions. Today I learnt that it is best to make the sauce with warm milk. Obvious when I thought about it, because adding cold milk makes more lumps to squish out.
The lasagne is going to feed me four FOUR nights!
I am going to be one plump puppy!
The excitement in today’s play was the love in the mundane activities of everyday life while the play continued.
