Tomorrow I start my journey to Mexico to be castrated and finally become what need to be!

I thought it might be interesting and fun to review some of the questions that I’ve asked myself in the process of understanding why I want castration and the impact that it might have on my life. My thanks to the many online friends and acquaintances who challenged me to explore and defend my choice!

This isn’t even an exhaustive list! I am sure I was asked and considered other factors, you (gentle reader) might be able to think of more.

If you fancy tackling these questions yourself, take your time! Don’t just write a sentence under each one. Think in terms of at least a page of A4 for each of them! Really think. But enjoy yourself!

These questions were asked by a number of people, many of whom I now regard as friends, to help me appreciate the gravity of the decision and separate the hot fantasy from the lived reality.

I’ll review these and my own answers in the months following the procedure … that should be interesting!

• How do you feel about castration after you’ve cum?
• How much do you think about castration when you’re not aroused?
• How do you feel about people knowing that you’ve been castrated?
• How do you feel about talking to a doctor to obtain hormones?
• Would you feel comfortable speaking to professionals and explaining your choice?
• How do you feel about your body? What would your ideal body look like?
• What’s your favourite castration fantasy?
• Are you prepared to accept a mundane yet safe castration option (professional surgery) rather than attempt to realise your fantasy by some DIY job or backstreet cutter?
• Are you prepared for possible erectile issues after you are castrated?
• How did the desire for castration fit into your image of yourself and your identity?
• Have you considered therapy to help identify what is going on?
• Are you comfortable with the idea of being a eunuch?
• Have you explored how the body reacts to being castrated? (You need to be prepared for the possibility of some level of depression as you adjust to a different level of testosterone)
• Story writing! Write your “hot castration fantasy”, then write a story about how you imagine sex will be like after you are castrated
• Write a story about how you might tell a close and trusted friend about your choice and motivations; try to pick a friend who doesn’t necessarily understand kink or gender issues; try to imagine their reactions honestly.
• Surgical choice is the hardest for other people to understand, you may well encounter hostility and judgement. How will you prepare for the stigma associated with your choice and defend against it?
• How do you imagine your life will be if you do not get castrated?
• Write a list of pros and cons; you can weight the items by relative importance to you
• Write a list of reasons not to be castrated
• Ask questions; find people who have been castrated and find out how they felt about themselves beforehand and afterwards. Are they happy? Would they do it again? How well do you relate to the feelings they had before they were castrated?
• Is there anybody you should tell about your desire/need for castration? Break it to them gently – it’s likely to be one hell of a shock and they mightn’t handle it very well. Give them time and talk about it with them – you’ve been thinking about this for a long time; it’s likely to be new to then
• How long have you been thinking about it? How has the thinking changed over time? What makes the urge stronger?
• How would being castrated improve your non-sexual life?
• What aspects of your identity would being castrated satisfy?
• What aspects of your identity would being castrated damage?
• Are you prepared for any stress/complications in obtaining your chosen hormone treatment?
• Do you have somebody objective to help you, with whom you’d be prepared to discuss your answers to three questions?
