Constitution

This is a draft proposal for discussion only.

  1. Eunuch Friends exists to support eunuchs, nullos, bivalves, wannabes, and allies; we do this by providing a safe place for it’s members to interact, by sharing experience and knowledge, by promoting safe practices, and discussion on political issues relating to our community and determining how best to promote and protect the community’s health and safety. It is not a platform for sharing pornographic material in any form.
  2. No proof of status will be required (ie no photographic evidence of nullo/eunuch status is required), however members may not pretend to hold a status they do not have. If the stealing of valour is discovered, the offender will receive a warning.
  3. The administrators and moderators are servants; they do not govern.
  4. While individuals are encouraged to manage their own privacy and participation in online spaces, Eunuch Friends is dedicated to maintaining a community that is free from discrimination and harmful hierarchies.
  5. In navigating political involvement, Eunuch Friends is committed to upholding principles of inclusivity, fairness, and non-discrimination.
  6. Eunuch Friends resists the implementation of paywalls or exclusionary measures that would prevent access to our resources for those who need them most. Eunuch Friends is fully self-supporting, declining contributions from non-members. There are no dues for membership, nor are there any rewards beyond perpetuating the service where donations are made. As far as possible, resources should be acquired on the cheapest band that provides adequate facilities (performance/storage/security).
  7. Eunuch Friends acknowledges the complexity of political engagement and the potential risks involved, including legal and compliance considerations such as data protection regulations. Eunuch Friends embraces political engagement as a means of advocating for the rights and well-being of the genitally diverse community, while remaining mindful of the potential challenges and risks involved. We strive to navigate political landscapes with integrity, inclusivity, and a commitment to the empowerment of our members.
  8. The mental and physical health of our community is paramount. Every member has a right to safe and affordable access to care. Eunuch Friends will lobby and campaign for eunuch rights though legitimate means only. These should be conducted in such a way as to not endanger the campaigners or the eunuch wider community.
  9. Eunuch Friends is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and transparency in our political activities, ensuring that our actions reflect the values of our community and do not compromise our mission or integrity.
  10. Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion. Engagement with the media is undertaken with extreme caution to avoid compromising this and the other safe spaces available to the wider eunuch community. Eunuch Friends may carefully engage with the media to attempt to correct negative attention and promote a positive public view of the eunuch community. As with all the policies in this document Eunuch Friends must be sure to first do no harm when attempting to deal with the media.
  11. The anonymity of members is protected. Voluntary self-disclosure is permitted. Eunuch Friends will not seek to capture or store any personally identifiable information. Anonymity is guaranteed, unless a member self-discloses.
  12. No data that could compromise the service will be stored on Eunuch Friends’ resources; this includes references to minors in any form, suggestions of coercive transformations, or promoting unsafe practices.
  13. Eunuch Friends, whilst not seeking to engage with minors, will build a library of vetted external resources to which younger people may be directed, thus protecting this service from activities that would endanger it or its members.
  14. The authority of the site owner is legal; the authority of the administrators and moderators is traditional. Administrators may appoint additional administrators and moderators by consensus.
  15. The service will aspire to run on democratic principals.
  16. Hate speech, including Kink Shaming, is not tolerated.
  17. Members must be 18 or over; however members must also be aware of the age of majority in their own country.
  18. The censure of members will be at the discretion of the administrators and moderators. Censure may be a warning, a suspension, or a ban. Warnings and suspensions do not require agreement with other administrators or moderators. Bans require agreement of a quorum of administrators and moderators, therefore a member may be suspended pending a final outcome. Any censure of a member will be communicated amongst the administrator/moderator community.
  19. The administrators and moderators are expected to moderate each other. Any member may report a member of the admin/mod team for improper application of the rule. Admins/mods may have their position removed temporarily or permanently if they are found to have exercised their powers improperly.
  20. Any member who is censured will be given a reason and informed of their right to appeal. A censured member may write an email to special email address created for that purpose. The decision will be returned by the same mechanism.
