Learning to really rest is hard! I’m in my third week and I think I’ve only just got it. I’m taking mornings much more slowly, learning to give my heart time to wake up before going downstairs.
I rest more during the day and after doing things, whether I’m feeling the need or not – it seems as though I only know that I’ve overdone it after the fact.
I am getting out, walking up to the high street for coffee, or to get a couple of bits for tea from the supermarket.
Today I met up with Patricius for a coffee and a relaxed chat. I think I was a little tired though, because I found it particularly hard to concentrate.
After coffee, Patricius walked me to my hygienist appointment.
I’d had to cancel my previous appointment as I was in hospital. Seems that I probably shouldn’t have gone today because of the blood thinners, however the hygienist was very gentle and it was all fine.
So I’m enjoying the last of the summer’s sun, wishing I could get to a beach to listen to the waves.
