Mapping Our Community – A Short Anonymous Survey

I will shortly be closing the survey on online safety for our community; I aim of process and release the results at the end of March 2026. There is still time if you would like to contribute:

Over recent months, there has been increased discussion within our community about data security, privacy, and changing platform policies – particularly around identity verification and biometric age checks.

For some, these changes raise important questions about anonymity and personal safety, especially when discussing sensitive aspects of identity.

Rather than speculate or assume, I’ve created a short anonymous survey to better understand:

  • Which platforms people are using
  • Where people feel safest discussing sensitive issues
  • How important anonymity is to members of this community
  • How people feel about identity verification requirements

The survey does not collect names or email addresses, and no sign-in is required. Responses are anonymous. I may share aggregated results to help inform future community planning.

If you would like to take part, it takes around 3–5 minutes:

This isn’t about promoting or discouraging any specific platform. It’s about understanding where we are – and what people need in order to feel safe participating.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to contribute.
