It had been a busy day. A 5k run, then a call to my old dad, followed by some DIY, then some shopping. I had intended to do more painting after I got back from shopping … instead I had a two hour nap!
That morning I thought to ask my husband if he’d like to go to the pictures with me in the evening. He eventually replied just after midday and we agreed to watch “Mercy”, starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson, followed by a KFC. I paid for the cinema tickets, and he volunteered to get the dinner.
We chatted a little on the way to the cinema, he started to tell me about a holiday that he had planned, but held back because it was only a short ride and there was lots to tell me.
This post isn’t about the film, even though it’s about AI and was very good, so I’ll skip that and move straight to the KFC.
He shared his holiday plans.
I shared mine.
While I was driving him home he offered to look after the dog while I was on holiday. I was amazed, initially because I thought that he meant at his flat – he actually meant that he would stay at the house! I didn’t think he’d ever want it be willing to do that!
We nattered while we ate.
What’s the point in this post?
For once, there was nothing exciting: it was just a nice evening with two close friends enjoying time together.
