I was messaged by somebody on Reddit; I thought it was worth capturing along with my response:

Hi! I’ve seen some of your comments on the eunuch/orchiectomy discussions and was really interested in your experience. I’m particularly curious about what happened to erectile function, orgasm and erotic sensation after your orchiectomy. I’m considering having an orchiectomy and scrotectomy myself, while continuing full-dose testosterone and daily Cialis, which I already take. I’d be really interested to hear how things have worked for you – particularly in terms of erections, sexual sensation and orgasm. Were there changes that you expected, and were there any that caught you completely by surprise? And, looking back, is there anything you wish you’d known before surgery that you only discovered afterwards?Thanks for being willing to share your experience!

This was my reply (which is based on my experience and the experience of others in the community, but I am advised not to present anything as fact):

Well, as you’ll probably know, without testosterone you will [probably] lose erectile function. But that’s ok, because you’ll also lose libido.

That doesn’t mean that you won’t enjoy sex, but that you won’t feel like initiating sex.

Without testosterone, you’ll lose spontaneous erections. This is particularly a problem at night, which is when your cock does it’s workout and keeps itself nice and fit. You can delay the loss of function by manually stimulating erections every day. The problem there is that you have to set yourself a routine because you just won’t feel motivated to do it.

You’ll also quite possibly get distracted when “manually stimulating” yourself, so you forget what you’re doing and start doomscrolling on your phone.

You’ll also likely get bored when trying to masturbate because without T, it’s bloody hard work!

When you do orgasm, the feelings are quite different – as is the type and quantity of goo produced. It’ll just likely be clear, sweet, and low on quantity – and quite possibly won’t appear until after the orgasm. Mine took about 20 minutes to shuffle along the pipes and ooze out the end of my penis.

Once back on testosterone (I was off it for 7 months), nightly erections resumed. Indeed, in many ways you wouldn’t know that I’m castrated at all from how things work and what the ejaculate looks like!

Except that I too had a scrotectomy, so I am physically very obviously castrated. And if you’d known my spunk before my surgery, you’d have known that it was like white lumpy custard. It’s more like think cream now. It was always slightly sweet, but it’s a little sweeter now.

Orgasms do feel a tad different without testicles being pulled upwards as I cum. I can still feel my body trying to do something like that. I suspect that it makes orgasming a little bit more difficult – sometimes impossible – but I wonder if that’s more the heart medication because I was fine until I started that, if a little slower to come to orgasm than before my detesticulation!

In terms of erotic sensation, the area where my balls used to be is my new erogenous zone! I hadn’t expected that, but from talking to other eunuchs that had the same surgery, they found the same – although nobody mentioned it before I did!

Psychologically, it does better represent my submissive feelings in kink/sexual encounters, but doesn’t actually change anything in my real world interactions: I can be as bloody minded as ever sometimes!

In sexual encounters, I hoped that it would communicate that I am a bottom and some guys are attracted to the nutless, but some guys really get off on the idea of being fucked by a eunuch!

I have half a mind that guys pre-filter me from their hookup apps based on my older friend (who is intact) getting more action than I do! It might be nothing. Nobody has been rude to me directly. And I am clear about being a bottom … and the world is full of bottoms with not enough tops to go round!

I’m curious to know what other eunuchs experienced!
