Work is stressful. Immovable deadlines. Difficult staff issues. Mandatory strategy days out.
The household stresses are lessening. The drains have been fixed for a while now and the insurance has given me a decent settlement for the restoration work.
But I am tired.
And my headaches have returned.
I’m not allowed some of my old migraine medication because they would interfere with my heart medication. And I’m walking up with an achy jaw from clenching in my sleep. And I’m having strange dreams.
But the headaches are the warning that I must somehow heed. I have had had one heart attack and I suspect that it was caused by years of stress and be anxiety. I used to get crippling migraines.
Stress takes its toll.
I need to hold things together until December, when the deadline passes – if we don’t hit it, we’re all out of jobs anyway.
If the stress doesn’t lessen afterwards I will have to consider my options.
To ignore the body’s warning might be a really bad idea.
