Tomorrow I leave for my Spanish holiday.
Flights booked: check!
Hotels booked: check!
Excursions researched: nope!
I have no idea what I am going to do when I actually get to these places. I know that there’s a shop in Barcelona that I want to visit, as recommended by Funiculosus. I want to see the Roman remains in Tarragona. But what those remains are, I don’t really know. I know that Toledo also has Roman remains, buried under the city! I guess I might see those.
But the rest of the trip? Not a clue!
I have found it extraordinarily difficult to think beyond the simple logistics of getting there. Normally, planning the itinerary is half the fun.
I think with everything I’ve been through these last few years, maybe the “from” was actually more important than the “to”?
