Ambrosius came over for puppy play.
He gave me a beautiful warm hug and soft kisses when he arrived.
My real life dog went bananas, so excited was she to meet another human. Ambrosius was very nervous of her though.
I lent him my old hood and harness, and his amber eyes glistened through the hood. He looked magnificent!
I put my gear on.
But there was something missing.
I could not reach puppy space. I couldn’t quite relax.
We tried various things, and it was enjoyable, but not right. Not yet. I suppose this is the first time one on one puppy play, so maybe I shouldn’t expect too much.
Maybe I was overthinking, or maybe the energy just wasn’t there – sometimes intimacy takes a few tries.
Afterwards, we nuzzled, and Ambrosius fell asleep on me, which was wonderful. The warm weight of another creature so relaxed is always a treasure.
Afterwards, we watched a film and cuddled on the sofa – all the while the dog cried because I could not let her into the room: she was just too energetic for someone afraid of dogs.
This is a problem.
She is my fur-baby and this is her home too.
Love me, love my dog!
