I was chatting to a fellow pup on Recon. He was drawn to me as a “neutered pup” and wanted to know what life was like as a eunuch because he was thinking of being castrated himself.

I cannot act as a gatekeeper for becoming a eunuch, but I do worry when someone approaches being a eunuch from a place of roleplay – I know a great many very happy (and horny) nullos as eunuchs, but I have also encountered a few for whom surgery was a hideous mistake. Even when its right for someone, they must go into it with open eyes – some guys are really turned off by eunuchs and nullos (I have had serious virtual beatings from cis gay guys calling me a freak), and there’s the stress around obtaining hormones and the unpleasant effects of them not being available (I’m talking about you, Menopause!)

It was a good chat, nonetheless, which eventually turned towards him asking whether I’d ever played with a “neutered pup” before. I haven’t yet, I only have one person with whom I could play and we haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Well, it seems that there is actually a pup/furry meetup once a month in Southampton: I have bought myself a ticket to the next one in September!
