This menopause thing is rubbish. After two good nights I had a bad night: it started with a slightly unsettled tummy and a busy head, then three flushes, not as intense as some of the others I’ve had, but enough to disturb my sleep. I have now woken up with a headache. I have also woken up with as proper boner, which I haven’t had for a while: lovely!

On the plus side, I don’t lie awake thinking about ways I can kill my balls, or getting up in the night to try to crush or strangle them.

There is still some spotting when I cleaned up the scar this morning; I’ll keep with the wound spray and antiseptic cream until that stops.

The rest of the day has been fine, only a slight headache and no additional hot flushes. Perhaps I’m going to be getting good and bad days for a few weeks yet, if my testosterone isn’t sorted out.

I shall be off for my piano lesson shortly … I’ve started learning Beethoven Moonlight Sonata (first movement). I love playing moody classical pieces. There’s not many I can play, and I expect this is going to take me six months!
