Tired of flushing

Last night I slept downstairs on the sofa; my husband has the same cold I had last week, but it’s settled on his chest. The sofa is plenty comfortable enough, and I used the poncho I brought back for him from Mexico as a blanket: it’s a really cosy covering – there is only one problem with it: the slot where your head goes kept creating a draft and no matter what I did I always ended up with a bit of me feeling cold. It was a good night’s sleep with no hot flushes, however I was still so tired in the morning that I couldn’t face the gym. I have woken up with a migraine.

Last night, my husband suggested that as well as the hot flushes and migraines and fatigue that I might also be suffering from confusion from time to time; I must admit that thinking doesn’t feel as fluid as previously.

I can see how suffering these symptoms long term can lead to problems at work, in relationships, and depression – it’s these things that I’m most concerned about right now.

Chatting to a guy on Discord, he says that these symptoms are actually not directly caused by low testosterone, but by low oestrogen. Hopefully that means that at least I’m not going to grow boobs! Another Discord guy (a doctor in training) says that thtee symptoms should settle after about the months.

There is another side effect for me of feeling tired and fatigued: I am also feeling irritable – I need to watch this because that’s not a good thing to have in a relationship or a job.
