Testosterone Problem with the GP

My op is at the start of next month and I want to ensure that I can start testosterone as soon after I get back as I can; so I arranged a phone call with the GP. I gave her an update about what had been going on (overdose, psychologist, the operation), then I asked her for a referral to endocrinology to sort out my testosterone therapy. It might be in my head, but it feels like she’s being s little obstructive. Firstly she said she wasn’t comfortable prescribing it herself (ok … but the doctors of other UK based nullos and eunuchs haven’t had a problem), then she said that the waiting list for endrinocolgy is about six months. I know that a couple of weeks won’t be a problem, but did months poses a serious health risk. I asked the she press my case, but she said she couldn’t hurry them along. She did say that she would talk to her manager.

I may have to return to seeking out testosterone therapy privately, at least initially. I cannot delay the operation – flights are paid for, deposit paid. Also, I don’t feel that I can delay for my own wellbeing: I am 99% sure that is return to trying DIY jobs, which could kill or disable me.

The only real option might be to get the op done, then return and throw myself in the mercy of the NHS – as one in actually without testicles, perhaps I will be treated somewhat as an emergency.

I am feeling a little bit stressed now!
